Game won't run anymore

I have been playing FM2006 since it came out last October without any probs.

Now when I double click on the icon it won't run. It appears in the task
manager using 50% of resources but the game doesn't actually start.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have ample RAM and HD space.

Does anyone know of anything else I can try e.g. going into the registry?

Try disabling or uninstalling you anti-virus program.
