Is it doing this repeatedly? Or was it a one time thing? I know when the
game crashes, it sets a flag to verify the files the next time it runs, in
case you had a corrupted file. As far as I know, this is a core routine
that can't be bypassed, but there are some others on this newsgroup with
more technical knowledge of the ins & outs of the CoX software that may know
otherwise.

If it's a repeating problem, I guess maybe you could post some more info...
Does it ever run? Run for a while then crash? Is there something specific
that happens when the crash occurs? Stuff like that will help diagnose what
might be the cause.

I can say that in my experience, I had very stable play until the last patch
(or might have been the patch before, not certain yet). Now when I'm in a
larger team I tend to get really bad sound loops, and have had CoV crash
twice when they get extreme.
