But will I have to type in my damn code again? It is more complicated
than the Da Vinci code. I know I appreciate Stardock's anti-piracy
episode.
But it wouldn't even let me paste the code in.
Or does the "sig.bin" file takes it place to remove my frustration?
Galciv forums are down right now. >> Stay informed about: Galciv2 Patch 2 now available |

I too had to type it in severla times on a now computer. Don't know
what was wrong, but at some time it accepted it and I could start
playing.
Galciv2 forums are occasionaly down, or have problems with speed of
access. Try again after few minutes. Works for me.

I just checked. There is a 1.11b update with some other files. It's telling me
my information is incorrect too, and the update failed. >> Stay informed about: Galciv2 Patch 2 now available |

I got the same thing, but then it said it was validating my serial
number, and the update went through. I bought the digital download and
had the CD sent to me,and I had to update the number on the CD in a
certain amount of time. Did you guys transition from the download to the
CD? That might be the problem. >> Stay informed about: Galciv2 Patch 2 now available |

I bought the download, and also the CD. I don't recall anything saying I had
to update serial numbers. How does that work? I continue to use the serial
number from the download, and have not even opened the CD. I'm keeping it in
safe storage.

I think you have to go through the process of re-registering the game
with the number on your CD, but I can't remember for sure. Try the
Galciv 2 website and see if there's a way to do it there. I just did
what it said I was supposed to do and never gave it a second thought.
The forums might have some answers. I seem to remember having to update
the serial number after the game became available for download. Try that
on the website using your CD number and see if it helps. >> Stay informed about: Galciv2 Patch 2 now available |

My last update was May 10th, and I updated it last night. That's what's
showing when I bring up Stardock. The way these updates work you'd think
if one person was having trouble we all would. I didn't do anything
special, just logged in and updated as usual. Can't figure it. >> Stay informed about: Galciv2 Patch 2 now available |

it took me two tries last night to update the game. I suspect they had a
glitch. >> Stay informed about: Galciv2 Patch 2 now available |

Indeed, it must be a bug. I have kept updating GalCiv II and never a hitch,
until the n.11 version. Then it barfed, like others here described. Yesterday.
My strategy: I'll simply wait until Stardock fix the problem, then I'll try
again Cant be bothered shagging around, reentering serial numbers and such.
No reason I should have to.
