Or if you want something you can be really proud of with the same look
& feel as the original, you have a couple of options.
The best is any Pac/Ms Pac cab as it is plywood instead of particle
board. You could pick an empty one up if you have a superauctions near
you. Paint black and place an arcade shop replacement CP on it/or an
original from ebay. You can also get an updated wire harness and PS
from arcadeshop as well. But it could get expensive(250 for just the
repro parts not to mention cab and artwork) . Although, its well
worth it in the end. A bump and jump cab could also be an option. I
used a pac cab and built one from scratch using arcade shop parts. Or
if you live in the east TN area, I have an original galaga thats
already restored for 750. Its not perfect, but is pretty nice and has
the original feel (leaf switch buttons). And before Mark has a
rebutle, He is correct. Any vertical jamma cab will work. If you go
that option, a nice 25" dynamo HS-5 cab(preferably a streetfighter
style) can be picked up for around 250+ at auction. Will work for a
slew of vertical games in 1,2, 3,or 6 button configs. Plus its easy
to swap out games as they have a door that slides out of the front.
But that's just my 2cents. Hope this helps.
