Is there a way to select an enemy planet? For example, I know there is a
race/planet out there, and I want to attack them. Being a minor race, it is
hard to find them. If I know I want to attack, let's say, Altair IV is
there a way to key in that name to find the planet, to find where it is?
How about if I want to attack the Krell, can I key in their name to fine
them? Probably is right there in front of me, but I can't find out how to
do this. If I can't do this, how would I find the location on the map of
any particular alien planet?

Thanks

Bill

I haven't found a find planet by name function. But the easiest way to find
a minor civilization that just popped up is to watch the AI ships. It's
funny, when one pops up, everyone (just about, all the neutral and evil AIs)
makes a bee line for it wanting to invade, usually several bunches of ships.
You can sort of cross reference the ships from two different AIs, which
should locate it for you.

Look towards the bottom of the UI - leftmost button is ships and planets. Once
you open that screen, there are a number of tabs at the top - your own planets,
all planets etc. Double clicking on a planet there should shift the main screen
focus to that planet - at least that how I remember it working. I haven't
actually tried routing ships that way (yet) I may try next time I fire up the
game.
