By some, I mean exactly nine stretched across the core games.

Some of them seem kind of pricy. Almost all of them seem useless except for
very specific things.

Hey,

Note that most of these items are now described as 'blisters':

40k:
Imperial Fists Conversion Pack - 5 Pads and 5 Packs for $8
Grey Knight Nemesis Force Weapons - 5 for $12
Ultramarines Shoulder Pads, and
Terminator Honours Shoulder Pads - 10 for $8

FB:
Rhinox $20
Hounds of Orion $12
Sabretusks $20
Buckets and Barrels $10

LotR:
Balrog Wings $10

While I'm here, I'll see if they ever fixed-up the Chaos page.
[Navigates] Nope. It's still only half updated:

Warhounds are listed as wargear even though the Armoury is no more.
Cult Troops are still noted as being Elites choices.
There's also a Lord HQ choice identified as an Elite.
Flesh Hounds and Furies are still listed as Fast choices.
Obliterators must be sold-out; they're not shown anywhere, afaict.
Elite Dreads are still in Heavy Support, though . . .

There's even a link for the now-unsupported LatD list -
It still brings up the ancient Chaos page from the EoT Campaign.
The Classic/ Collector Creatures link takes us to ... nothing.
The Classic/ Collector Marines link is to ... one model.
Apparently it, like the Rhinox, was never photographed.

Oh well, the Codex has only been out four months . . .
And, as long as I've got my snark on:

The new plastic Termi Lord replaces the Horsecollar Termi Lord.
Good riddance.
AFAICT, a decent pic of the new Khorne Lord has never been taken.
Every one I've seen has his face covered. Is it a monopose?
The Lord with the Jump Pack has an anchor chain around his waist.
That's okay, but the chain has an anchor attached . . .

They need to include 25mm rounds for every 40k Lesser Daemon Unit.
They're generic, and 40mm squares are harder to fit on a Template.
Plastic Bolter dudes now cost $4ea; $3 if you buy them with a Rhino.
Such a deal!

Man! Are the rest of the New Dex areas as confused as this one?

Nothing real new with the 40K bitz. With a few exceptions, it looks like the
they just put all bitz on a page for their respective game, in order to make
it easier for you to a) find that one bit you need so they can b) take more
of your money.

I'll check Orks.

HQ: Looks okay, except there's no Warboss model. Three Big Meks, a
Wierdboy, Ghazghkull, Grotsnik, and a Grot Oiler. Huh.. most
important model in the army, and you can't buy him?!?

ELITES: Nobz, Lootas, Tankbustas, Burnaz, Kommandos. All belong. But
where's the Mega Armored Nobz?

TROOPS: Boyz, Grots, Runtherd; Trukk. Okay, that's all they have in
Troops anyway.

FAST ATTACK: Warbikes, Warbuggy, Wartrak, Scorcher, Deth Kopta,
Stormboy Conversion Pack. Yeah, it's all there, including the new
expensive way to make Stormboyz.

HEAVY SUPPORT: Deff Dread, and Big Gunz are a "Direct Exclusive". So
good luck getting those. No Killer Kanz. No Flash Gitz either.
Obviously no Battle/Looted Wagon, too much variety.

Overall... not confused, but missing a lot of key models.
