I was reading GURPS for Dummies and it had a part that mentions magic
and technology can be present all in the same game world by being
seperate and parallel, but each one seems to still be useable. It
mentions Castle Falkenstein and CyberPunk-something as two GURPS
campaigns that have magic and technology as parallel and present
forces. What other GURPS campaign world has magic, technology,
psionics, and anything else all in one universe so that each is equal
in force, but useable in a seperate and parallel way? I mean just like
CyberPunk-something and Castle Falkenstein, but with more things or
forces present in the same universe or in the same campaign world--the
addition of psionics and anything else. >> Stay informed about: a GURPS campaign world that is general |

The GURPS Voodoo setting featured magic in a modern day setting.

I was reading GURPS for Dummies in a part of the book called Mixing
Magic and Technology. It mentions Castle Falkenstein and Fantasy Cyber
Punk as two GURPS
campaigns or worlds that have magical and technological progress
working in parallel. Those are the worlds or campaigns that I'm
interested in. Which edition of GURPS are those campaigns or worlds
for? Do they exist at the start of the Industrial Revolution TL5 and do

Ooh, ooh, pick me!
GURPS Cabal - Mostly magic and technology, but also pretty much
anything else. Any time, any place. The Cabal have always been.
GURPS Infinite Worlds - If you want it in a game, there's probably a
chapter on adding it to your game world here. Either in here, or in
GURPS Fantasy.
GURPS Illuminati (and IOU) - Everything. And their hats. Their psionic,
spellcasting, UFO hats.
GURPS Hellboy - Nazis + Cthulhu mythos, pretty much. >> Stay informed about: a GURPS campaign world that is general |

For both settings:
Imagine every conspiracy theory you've ever heard is true.
And that most tabloid headlines are too.
IOU is (IIRC) Illuminati University.
It's tongue in cheek.
The "O" is classified.
Illuminati is the more serious treatment.
Both are rules light but idea heavy.
Magic exists.
Aliens exist.
High tech exists.
Ancient artifacts exist.
Elder Gods exist.
George Bush exists.
Modern day setting mainly.
Most people in the setting have no idea that any of the above
exists except for George Bush.
Although George Bush may or may not know if any of it exists.
The player characters may either be in on the great "secrets" or new
to them.
