You mean they'll finally have a decent aiming system? And decent character
animation?

How so? Does MS have an exclusivity deal for GTA IV? That's what Sony had
with GTA III, which came out in 2001 for the PS2 but not until 2003 (IIRC)
for the Xbox. Had the two versions come out at the same time, consumers
would have had one less reason to buy a PS2.
Just because the 360 has exclusive episodic content doesn't mean that the
PS3 can't have its own exclusive content. But even if it turns out that the
PS3 won't have downloadable content, I don't think this is the same
"benefit" to MS that a two year exclusivity deal was to Sony. I don't think
there is a big audience out there waiting to buy a next gen console once GTA
IV comes out who will then buy the Xbox 360 solely on the basis of GTA
downloadable content. GTA IV will be simultaneously available to owners of
both consoles. It won't help or hurt either Sony or MS this time around,
whereas it helped PS2 sales in the past.
