GTA SAN ADREAS PC

I have the GTA San Andreas PC version 2nd edition. I have completed 83 missions so far with the game working perfectly on my pc. Yesterday when I start the game I find out that there is no health bar, weapons bar and $ earned displayed in the upper right corner. I have not had any game crashes, error messages or anything. It was there the day before. I considered re-installing the game, but I don't want to lose my progress. I am not computer savy enough to figure out a way to save progress if there is a way. Can anyone help? I am bummed out. It is to hard to continue playing without this information. Game works fine otherwise.

Turn the HUD back on in options...
