Post subject: Does GTA IV (English version) contain pixel blood?

Hi

If you play GTA IV's English (England or USA) version, does that contain
pixel blood? I (playing the German version) am able to stab sb with a
knife in the game so that the character dies but there doesn't seem to
be any blood.

I know they said that all across the world (Australia excepted) the game
would be the same but after seeing this I am getting my doubts...

I've beaten up a lot of people but I know I've truly killed someone by the pool of blood spreading on the
ground beneath them and, well, the fact that they've stopped moving. Also, when Niko falls too far or
gets hit by a car he leaves a nice smear of blood behind. So it's there, but kind of subtle. For all its
violence and controversy, GTA has never been all that bloody of a game (except for Tommy Vercetti's
chainsaw. That was kinda over the top.) I've played others that are far worse in that respect.

And I'm in the USA.

I think when Niko gets shot himself there is sprays of blood on the
'screen' specially around the last shots.

And all this is true for the German version of the game also, so Thomas
can really be assured that the bog-standard retail version you can buy
in Germany is absolutely identical to the international version.
