Just wanted to let everyone know of a GREAT experience I had with
Stephen Beall.
I sent him one Atari Hall Effect and two Atari Assault sticks to be
rebuilt. These sticks were extremely loose. The Assault sticks did
not center at all, and just flopped in whichever direction they were
pushed.
The Hall Effect stick just needed a new centering plunger, which
Stephen installed (NOS). The Assault sticks needed new centering
plungers, along with new upper and lower housings, and new grips.
Stephen installed all NOS parts, then compared each stick to a NOS
Assault stick that he has on hand. By the end of the rebuild, he
could not tell the difference between my sticks, and the NOS one.
The difference in gameplay with the new sticks is immense.
Also, Stephen began working on my sticks the day they arrived, and
shipped them back to me the next day.
If anyone is thinking of dealing with Stephen, do so without
hesitation.
Thanks again Stephen!
