Hi I have just bought a GBA and was going through the manual and it said to
use alkaline battries, is it ok to use lithium battries as in the adds it
says that they last a lot longer. Thanks Shaun B.

Rechargeable batteries work fine. The GBA doesn't empty the batteries
very well, so it makes sense to use rechargeable batteries. If you test
alkalines, after the GBA has stopped working with them, they still work
pretty well.

Lithium batteries last longer in high drain devices such as a digital
camera. In something like a GBA, they may get the same (or even
worse) life than regular alkalines. The type of battery you use
greatly depends on it's application. Just because a battery is
lithium, it doesn't make it better than regular alkalines across the
board.
