Is there an easy way to tell if the cable is knackered? We got a GBA and link cable cheap on eBay just so my 8-year-old can play one of the mini-games he's unlocked on Wario World (I think it's called). Anyway, there's a beep from the GBA when communication starts, then it comes up with "Unable to link Game Boy Advance" on the NGC followed by a power-cycling and cable-linking routine to go through, which makes no difference.
