This Is Fun

So, long story short, I'm killing time until doctor's
appointment, so I'm taking apart my very first computer.

I know better than to discard it without removing the
(whopping 2GB) hard drive, so I've removed the cover
and am having more than one good laugh.

You know how the old Cadillacs had fins? You should see
the fins on this heat sink over the main brain. Hell, I might
even slow down and take pics as I disassemble this dinosaur.

What a hoot- there was this cheesy plastic hood-like
thingy going from the heat sink to the intake on the power
supply fan, as if to guide the hot air right to the fan, eh?

You should see the filth build-up on the fan intake because
of that hood.

Okay, this is too gross to not share- bear with me while
I pay proper homage to this funny mess. I'm moving real slow
cuz of illness, but I'll get 'er done so y'all can share in my
disgust.
