I downloaded a version of Ultima VII in Spanish from www.ellosnoloharian.com
that didn't happen to include The Forge of Virtue. I played it with
Exult 1.2 and just finished it.

I have a version of Ultima VII in English that does include Forge of
Virtue.

I'm a little anxious, honestly, to get into Serpent Isle as soon as
possible. Ultima VII was a blast and I'm anxious to continue. Is it
worth slowing down and playing FOV first?

Opinions welcome!

And while I'm on this question, I might as well ask this: To those of
you who have played Savage Empire, Martian Dreams, and Ultima
Underworld 1 and 2, how about those? Once someone has finished 1
through 9 is it worth it for a true Ultima fan from "way back" like
myself to give those a whirl?

Never did the underworlds, but I **HIGHLY** recommend Martian Dreams.
Without giving too much away, a cool history (both real world and
Ultima), bit of steam-punk, great story and it moves along nicely--not
much repetition or meaningless wandering and combat. Savage Empire is
a nice distraction but a bit droll and high on the meaningless
wandering and combat.

You can get away without it I guess, although it will leave you wondering where
that weird talking sword came from at the start of Serpent Isle.
