Does anyone know how long it should take to install Flight Simulator X
Acceleration ? My machine slowed to a crawl. After 1 1/2 hrs, I gave up. My
machine is a new Duo Core Quad Q6600, with 4 gig of Ram, XP Pro SP2. The DVD
light just flashed but it didn't sound like it was running.

I noticed a similar problem when I installed Logitech software for a new
mouse. It took about 15 minutes to install. It finally installed and
everything worked fine

It should only take ~5-10 minutes, tops. You might try a different DVD drive
or check the settings on yours. Something just isn't right there.

I had a similar problem and was only able to resolve it by replacing my DVD drive, but it could always be a driver issue.. never know.
