Open to anyone who loves to wield a weapon!
The idea of Fight Day is to get together with other LRPers in the
North East (from DUTT, F&H, Maelstrom, Midgard and other systems) to
share fight games and training, and to join and compete together.
Events will include Kings, Chaos treachery, XP treachery, Bridge
fight, Gladiator, Team 5's, Trollball plus any that are brought along
by visiting groups.


No booking required (just an informal event) and no costume required
(unless you prefer to fight in it!) - but do bring your weapons!

Date: Sunday 28th November
Time: 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Venue: The Sands, Durham
(riverside field down from Claypath)

Directions:
From the A1, take the A690 durham exit. Follow the A690 to the first
roundabout (at the top of Claypath). Take the 3rd/final exit
(4th/final exit if you include the college drive) down CLaypath. At
the traffic lights, turn right and follow the road down and round to
The Sands. Car parking available.
From the train station, partway down the exit road, take the stairs
down and across the footbridge. Follow the main roadbridge across the
river heading up/left at teh exit. Left takes you onto Claypath and
left again at the lights takes you down to the Sands.

General tournament rules
Polearms max 72".
1h max 42".
1 hit/location.
arm hit = must drop (to the ground!) any weapon held
(2nd hit on same arm = dead)
leg hit = must kneel (cannot 'spring' up!)
both legs hit = must sit or lie down
head/body hit = dead
[discount finger hits on wepon hand]

Individual Gladiator
Each bout is 3 rounds. first two bouts are with matched weapons (each
competitor choosing once). If a third bout is needed competitors fight
with their own choice.

Team 5's
1 x polearm, 1 x paired swords, 2 x sword&shield, 1 x single sword

Trollball
5 x single sword
1 x healer
2 x substitute
Subs wait at corner flags
When a sub is handed a sword they may enter the field
When a player has their sword taken they become a sub.
Healer can enter at any time to take a sword and hand it to a sub.
Healer can be struck while on field
