Here's some thoughts about bringing back Unleashedin a round about way:

Veggies/Grains you can either sell or add to your Sims' pantry.

Fruits that do the same as above but also have the option to put them in a
"nectar press" (ala Makin' Magic) to make nectar one can drink, sell, or add
to pantry.

Cattle/Chicken that you can either "yeild" (to get milk/eggs) or "take to
market" (to...well...you know what I am talking about) for money or pantry
restocking.

A Commercial pond for fish that can go with the reccuring theme of
money/supplies.

Dogs that can be walked, taught tricks and played with and have the special
ability to chase off burglars.

Cats that can be cuddled up to (when was the last time anyone walked a
cat?), taught tricks and played with and have the special ability to deal
with vermin.

Of course all of the animals can be bred. Perhaps even add a function of
having the cats/dogs either make "pure breeds" to sell for top simoleans or
keep, "mongrels" to also sell (but not get as much money for thier sale as
"pure breeds") or keep, or have a small chance of achieving a "new breed"
(ala "Designer breeds" such as Cockapoos and Puggles) which will contiue
making money for you reagrdless of selling them or not (simulating royalties
for discovering the breed).

Any thoughts?

If I had an engineering degree. I'd work for them in a heart beat! Actually
less then a heart beat. Perhaps 1/100th of a heartbeat.

Since this is Sims 2, the family pets (not the livestock) should have
aspirations as well. Examples:

Obedience: Anything dealing with learning tricks/commands
Play: self-explanatory (Describes my Chihauhau)
Relaxation Taking naps, being fed, et cetera
Affection: Being pet, cuddled and what-not. (My calico cat to a tee!)

I'd also like to see the return of pet prizes.

Okay now I have thought of something else:

Add a sewing machine to make clothes to sell or add to your wardrobe (i.e.
add new clothing to your wardrobe without having to go to the store and
buying it).
