| One of my Sims would dearly love to have a family reunion, but I don't
know how to give her one. I had her throw a party and invite her two
married sons, but apparently that wasn't considered a family reunion.
Now her aspiration bar is in the red and she frequently breaks out in
sobs. Anyone know how I can help her out?  |

Well, it usually needs all (or most) family members but if she only has two
sons maybe it's not enough sims to trigger the memory. I've had it in both
the Vaughan and Goth families (I don't mean the Pleasantview Goths) but
they're both large families and when they all get together for a wedding or
something, the memory gets triggered. You might have to have a party of
some sort - I don't know about that - but it's the occasions when the memory
has been triggered but then again those are the only times in my game when
all the family members assemble on one lot.
I'm wondering if that memory is still bugged or whether it was fixed in a
patch though the bug has no effect on whether you see it or not. Rather the
opposite, in fact, since it would generate multiple trash versions of the
same memory.

I remember once when the elder couple John Burb and Brandi Broke Burb threw
their Golden Wedding Anniversary party and invited all 8 of their children
AND their grandchildren that were children or teens. That triggered the
family reunion memory BIG TIME. I mean, they had the memory for each of the
kids and grandkids -- dozens of "Had a family reunion!" memories. I'll not
be doing that again any time soon! I think I got a mod from pescado that is
supposed to take care of that, but I haven't tried to invite that many
people at one time again.

I don't think it takes ten. Cassandra Goth's wedding to Don Lothario
turned out to be a family reunion (as I discovered when I looked in
the Sims' memories) because Dina Caliente Goth's sister Nina came to
the wedding (Dina was married to Mortimer) and Mortimer and Alexander
Goth were there.

Yes, the fix stomped it and then I think it was fixed in a patch. I don't
seem to have the fix any more. Anyway, the memories don't get spawned any
more and you can always edit them out with SimPE which is what I did.
