Fallout 3 quest issue (SPOILER)

Before going to Megatron I've spent some time
exploring and doing some quests here and there
including exploring GNR and talking to that disc
jockey person.
I now see in a walkthrough I looked at today that
apparently I should should have gone to Megatron
first before going to the GNR radio station.
Does this screw up my main quest by going to that
radio station apparently too early?

All it seem to mean is that you probably won't get the subquest to get
information from the bar. I imagine there's a small XP reward you've
missed out on, but nothing major.
