I haven't experienced the game during the day yet, I left the Vault at
night. So I don't know if my system can handle max graphics during the
day with HDR and all that. So I'm trying to gauge who's playinig with
what settings and on what kind of system.

My specs:
E6420 CPU (2.x ghz)
2gb's ram
Evga 7600GT
Vista 32 bit

I will probably need to upgrade my video card to play this game with
everything maxed but I'll find out soon enough once the sun rises.

Intel 2.4 GHz Quad core
4GB RAM
HDDs in RAID 0
Gforce 8800 GTX
Vista 64

I'm playing at 1920x1200 with 4x Antialiasing and 15x Anisotropic filtering,
and HDR. Reflections set to full shadow quality on medium and most distance
sliders set between 50% and 75% and most LOD set at the top end.

It's running well. Very well actually.

Intel Q6700 Quad
4GB RAM
4 750GB Seagate 10K drives / RAID5
2 ATI 512MB Radeon in SLI array
Vista32

Playing at 1680x1050 with all the wheel bits set.

Glorious.

3Ghz AMD 64bit Cpu
2 GB ram
Nvidia 7600 graphics card.

Runs Fine on medium setting, but I have the draw distance for
buildings, people and items set to max.

Plays fine, with an occasiona pause when entering VATS, while it
workds out the % I assume.

I'm promised myself that if I get my credit down to a certain amount
by Fab next year, I'll treat myself to a new PC (barebones - mobo, cpu
and ram). By then, the lower end quad core systems will be cheap
enough.

Q6600 @3.2Ghz
8Gb ram
Vista 64
HD4870X2
Maximus Formula motherboard
Asus D2X soundcard
BenQ 24" widescreen

Everything on full tilt, what a great game. I booked this week off work just
to spend it gaming. Far Cry 2, C&C RA3, Fallout 3. Fallout 3 is the best of
the bunch. Although I have been pleasantly surprised with RA3. Far Cry 2
needs a patch or several.

I’ve a low end machine and it runs fine at medium settings. I’m
pleasantly surprised to be honest as I can hold out that little bit
longer before an upgrade. I’ve just blown all my money on a 46” lcd tv
and home cinema system. It rocks!

XP
3.2GHz CPU
2GB RAM
NVidia Geforce 7800GS AGP

Intel Quad Core Q9300@2500
1 8800GTS 512MB,
4GB (3GB effective)
Vista 32 bit (I have to migrate to 64 in the next month Sad ).
2x500GB HD Raid-Striping

I have not played a lot now and I had problems about the "resolution
setup bug" so I have had to manually edit the config files in order to
set resolution and POV.
Currently 1680*1050, I have activated about all, and I have set all
slides between 80% and 100%.Antialias 4x, anisotropic x8

Currently the game runs smoothly but sometimes (rarely) it slows down
FPS a bit (my perception).
I am not expert in tuning so I appreciate config suggestions from users
with more experience and similar hardware.
Thanks in advance

P.s: What is the best way to visualize current FPS when running a game
(fallout3 for example?)

the biggest performance killer in Oblivion when outdoors was the grass and
there's
very little of that in the wastelands - so far performance has been fine.

A Radeon X1900Pro, a Radeon 4870X2 or something in between? Wink

<pedantic nitpicking>
If they are Radeons, they will be using Crossfire
</pedantic nitpicking>

Nice to see the Nvidia marketing machine has been so effective! Just like
many people call vacuum cleaners 'Hoovers'.

Q6600 @ 2.8GHz
8GB PC2-6400 @733MHz, 4-4-4-12 timings.
8800GTS/512 @stock - in DX10 mode.
Vista x64

I can't remember the exact settings but it recommended High, but my fos was
too high so I moved up to Ultra High. That knocked me down to 15-25fps
average, so I've knocked a few settings back (eg. Anistropic sampling at
12x) and I'm back to 45-50fps on average.
