For all the cries of doom from developers and publishers about how
piracy is making them move away from PC gaming, it's sort of funny (in
a sort of bad way) that Fallout 3 leaked to the Xbox 360 already
according to some reports.

....too that Bethesda plans no intrusive anti-piracy measures beyond the
usual DVD check at all. I think Oblivion sold well with only a similar
simple measure which should make other companies think about the quality
of their games instead of the pirates when looking at low revenues...

I thought all you need is plug the console's DVD drive into a PC and
flash new firmware and you're done. But then it's hard to believe
Microsoft wouldn't block such an obvious hole.

Think of it as hording unrecuited troops and gold. The basic strategy
is to maximize the number of troops you can recruit at later turns,
and Wolfing explained to do that.

Avoid losing more than a token amount of troops in your battles with
the static units spread around the map. It'll take you a while to learn
which battles you can win like that so save before attacking during your
first couple of games. Use one hero to do all your fighting, an other
hero or two with a small and fast force to explore and grab goodies.

I've only played I, II and III so I don't know. The first two games
are harder than the third, so if you aren't able to get the hang of them
try moving on to Heroes of Might and Magic III.

HoMM 3 is the jewel of them all, the best without a doubt. I also
liked HoMM 5 a lot. 4 pretty much sucked big time.

I was really enjoying HOMM V until I had to get a new system and somehow
my install disc disapeared. Sad

Well, sure. I also thought that since Microsoft had little or no
experience in producing high volume complex electronics, they did the
smart thing with the original Xbox. Fairly low power parts, large
case, easy cooling. Presumably recycled software too for the most
part.

Then they reached a little too far with the 360 and ran into
reliability problems, red ring of death and all that.
