Great to hear that - it was the one thing that made the Balkans
campaign practically *unflyable* for me in A/F. No problem in previous
F4 "incarnations"

The "shimmering" never bothered me that much - I just pretend it's
"heat haze"!

Does that mean we get city [night] lights back as well?

I like your informed and humerous take on the Falcon 4.0 story!

Prehaps you and the other kind readers of this bolg can help me out.

I lost touch with the Falcon since I last upgraded it with the original SP way back in 2001/2002 era! Then I lost my files also and so want to get back into Falcon - from scratch

I've danced a few times alread, but I am not happy 'cause I don't seem to be able to get all the links and downloads that I need!

Anyhow, there seems to be different pathways to patching the old Falcon 4.0, and so far this is what has worked for me : Falcon 4.0 CD -> F4108US patch -> SP4 -> SP4.2

Where are the problems, you ask?

Well, First I tried to get OF 4.3 on top of F4108US but no joy, then tried OF4.3 ontop of F4SP4.2 but it would not have it. I also tried installing BMS on top of F4SP4 and it would not have it either!

So what am I missing if I want to have OF 4.3 installed? Or just say BMS 2?

I use Windows XP, AMD 64 XP 3400+ 2GB Ram Radeon HD 2600 Pro 512 MB Ram.

I understand that there is a data patch for installing BMS2 ontop of F4SP4.2 but I can't find it on the web! Is this the correct procedure for doing a BMS dance? I'll try reinstalling F4 from CD -> F4108US patch then installing BMS 2 on that a second time and see what happens...

I really would like to have clear steps because so far I can only run theF4 SP4.2 , that and of course LOMAC!

Any tips & Links would be highly appreciated.
