Hi People,
I am running FSX and I have bought FTX from Orbx. I have now install FTX
and the improvement is wonderful. I had been expecting this to be like an
update to VOZ (forFS9).
I started a flight at Adelaide and was disappointed that there was no detail
for the airport, and indeed, no terminal at all.
My question is can VSX and FTX be used together and how do I do that?
Regards

Hi Doug,
I believe JW has this as well (Blue Region). One annoying thing I
find with FSX is that Terminal buildings are included within Scenery
Complexity and lowering this can make them all disappear. Do you have
it set high enough in your FSX settings?
I have Voz for FSX and Adelaide terminals are there but whether you
can run FTX as well I'm not sure. Is FTX just textures or does it
include airports?
You may be better putting these queries to Orbx or the VOZ team
themselves. I'm sure they can both be installed with the scenery
layers sorted accordingly.

Like I said Doug in the other post SCENERY COMPLEXITY must be
increased as terminal buildings are included in this group which IMHO
is plain stupid as the airports must be generated. I discovered this
when I first got FSX and tested it on some default setting and
wondered where the hell my local buildings had gone. Increase it the
at least dense and you should get the terminals back

Doug
Also forgot to say, you will be missing out big time on the enhanced
textures if you keep your texture resolution at 5m. Is that the
highest you can get it before losing performance on your pc?
I have a profile saved for 1m when using default or GA aircraft and 2m
when using the demanding PMDG 747X

The latest Orbx Aussie scenery is for the south only, although that is in
itself a huge area. It has very detailed Adelaide both airport city and
surrounds. All the VOZ and now ORBX for fsx scenery is terrific.I don't pay
for much but I would pay double for this Aus scenery.

Many thanks Ibby. Your suggestions worked.
