better framerate with Aero? - As an avid fsimmer, mechanic, and geek wannabee, I'm gonna spring for FSX and also Vista when it comes out in January. Does anybody know how the Window's Aero component of Vista is going to improve graphics. Maybe we'll see an in..

push framerate? - I am framerate for some ac models and some areas near a big city. But my CPU usage is only 60% at peak, RAM usage is only 40% out of 1.5 GB. The last thing is my ATI 9800 pro, is the only comes from the video..

No antialiasing for FS9 with new PC :-( - I cannot get AA to work for FS9. It was fine with my old PC running XP and ATI graphics. My new system has Vista 64 bit and a Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX. I've tried setting up FS9 in the Nvidia control panel using overides for FS9.exe. But still

Hi Ian B,

I've found that too, re Vista Ultimate64, mate

There used to be a real graphics guru posting on the group - Derek
Wildstar. He could probably have given us all some extra info' re the
limited/unlimited fps......

Any tweak guides I have read refer to limiting the fps but they are
all written prior to SP2 so perhaps something has been optimised in
the last service pack

It must have been your post which was lurking in the murky depths of
my memory. Since my re-install, I have tried a few changes to the
fsx.cfg, but changing the framerate to unlimited has certainly been
the most beneficial. I am hesitant to make any further changes, as I
usually keep making them until everything goes pear-shaped, and I have
to start all over again.

That's appalling!! You shouldn't egg me on like that - you know I'm
going to fall for it - again. Sad
