Post subject: Where is my FSX.cfg File?

Title says it. I can't locate the file. I'd like to do some tweaking
for frame rates, but the file isn't present anywhere in the FSX
directory tree.

Nope, it's not there. It's in the

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX

folder. Substitute <username> with the name you log onto your system
with. It's there because a separate configuration file can be set up
for each user on the machine.

Just to add to Vernon's post.
You may also have to go to Tools/Folder Options/View and tick 'Show
hidden folders and files' and also untick 'Hide protected operating
system files' for the folder to be viewable/accessable.

Type this in the run command area and press ENTER:

%appdata%\Microsoft\fsx

tmj file for FSX - Hello all, I finally got my HOTAS Cougar repaired and functioning correctly. I am having a blast at FSX, it's my first civilian flight simulation. I was wondering if there are any joystick files for the Cougar for this sim? Or, do the earlier ones..
