Hi,
Just installed FSX SP1, no problems downloading or installing. Haven't
evaluated it properly, but haven't noticed any improvement - but didn't
have any real performance issues before anyway.
However, my Tools menu has now disappeared. Checked the XML.DLL and all
is OK there.
Any ideas?
Regards,

Sorry, that should be DLL.XML (all of them have been check and they all
point correctly to my FSX directory).
It was all working OK before Installed SP1.

Took away my Tool menu also. On the surface it doesn't look like it
improved things much for me. Frame rates pretty much the same. If anything
I think it introduced some stuttering. must be seeing things.

Same here about the stuttering. Although it has multi-core processor
now, on my core duo is is using 100 percent of both cores. Before SP1 I
didn't even reach 100 percent.
Another thing, I have also lost my calibration control for FSUIPC, so
now I can't calibrate my reverse thrust on my throttle quadrant.
Wish I hadn't installed it now, as I wasn't having any problems before.
It is to much hassle to uninstall and reinstall all over again and not
know if that'll do any good.

Forgot to ask - without the Tools Menu, how do you use the SDK features?

I just read that the deluxe version requires you to install the sdk so
that it can be patched. If thats the case, should I install the sdk,
then the sp1a sdk update and then the main sp1 patch?
Thanks,

It could be that the SDK update was separate all along. I didn't know or
hear about it until just now. I was helping Fred with his installer problem
earlier. Sorry for the confusion. >> Stay informed about: FSX Tools Menu Missing After Installing SP1 |

Hi Katy,
Yes I did.
As follows: FSX SP1 > SDK > SDK SP1a.
Also just found out that you need at least v4410 of FSUIPC. I had 4409
and this isn't fully compatible with FSX SP1. Downloaded 4410 and that
now works. Shame I had to find out too late.
