I was landing at Boulder, just east of Las Vegas, yesterday in the DC3
and it took me literally 9 or 10 attempts at an approach before I could
get the aircraft to sink onto the runway at 70-80 kts. My approaches
were fine, but I just couldn't get it to sink the last 100 ft or so.

It got me wondering what was wrong, since I had no problem landing in
the Congo mission, and I wonder whether it's because the Boulder area is
filled with desert textures, and whether FSX applies thermal lift to
different texture classes, so I was getting a huge boost to my glide
range in the last 200 feet?

Hi,

I have noticed, too, an exaggerated effect of the thermals in FSX. They
can be disabled in the settings, but at the same time the turbulences
are gone too. I liked the turbulences...

It happened to me at several airports; the one that I have experimented
most with it is Sabadell (LELL), a little airfield near my home. Try to
land on it with thermals on... remember it's a short runway.

There will be a form to tune it??

P.S. Sorry for my English
