nyone else had this happen?
yesterday, FSX ran fine. Today, it won't get past the initial splash
screen. Deleting the cfg file makes no dfference.

Well from my experience with that situation your logbook is corrupt.

Back it up somewhere and i can tell you how I fix mine.

Thanks to Katy Pluta - Thanks Katy, I have borrowed some settings from your cfg example and expanded on others and have I blv arrived at a comfortable level in FSX. As many have said it is really the Autogen that is the killer but with the few fixes that have been applied....

better framerate with Aero? - As an avid fsimmer, pilot/A&P mechanic, and geek wannabee, I'm gonna spring for FSX and also Vista when it comes out in January. Does anybody know how the Window's Aero component of Vista is going to improve graphics. Maybe we'll see an improvement...
