If I remember correctly a previous versio of FS would allow you to go inside
the cockpit, have full instrumentation, AND view the plane you are flying in
spot view in the upper half of the screen. I can't seem to do that in FS9.
Anyone know? Thanks.

When flying in FS9 hit 'Alt' to bring up the menu bar. Select 'Views',
and there you have all the view options.

Press the [ key. That will open a new window and you can drag it to
the corner if you want. Right click on it and you can change the view
to spot or tower or instruments.

Hi John,
Try SHIFT + 1. That works on my machine. Take care...

FSX spot view and view transitions - Has anyone figured out how to pan around the aircraft in outside spot view? Spot view acts like you would think fixed spot view would. Tried the usual FS9 panning keys: ctr-shift-enter, backspace and shift-enter and backspace but view remains..

Spot versus Locked Spot? - I'm not getting something with FSX views. I hit S to cycle to outside views. I get a spot view of the aircraft. I hit A to cycle forward one to locked spot view. What's the difference? They appear to behave the same way? -- Will

Track IR w/ FSX - spot mode - Just an observation, With the good job implementing the track IR device in the VC, I have to wonder, why MS only supported 2dof in the exterior spot mode? In the tail or side exterior view, it supports 6dof, in the spot or locked spot mode, only two (...

AI view in FS 2004? - I used to have a programme to view the AI traffic in FS 2004 as a little black map which gave me the AI view, the list of AI planes, where they were coming from and going to and if they were "asleep" or parked. I used to access it from the 'm...

AI Traffic view in FS 2004? - There was a programme for FS 2002 called AI tactical which let me view the AI planes in my vicinity like a radar display. This programme doesn't work in FS 2004 but I believe there's a programme which does the same thing as AI tactical except that it....
