Of late I have had the problem with MS flight Sim 2004, that as soon as I
have started the engines they keep on shutting down again. I checked that I
have automatic fuelling on. I even un- and reinstalled FS2004 twice before
but the problem still persists.

What could possible be the cause and what is the remedy?

The aircraft I use is one of the 737's.

I had the same problem with one of my aircraft. The only thing I could come
up with was to crack the throttle just a bit to keep the RPM above idle.
If you hear of anything else, leave a message in the group, OK? Thanks...

Charles, how are you starting the engines? By the start switch on the panel
or by keystrokes ctrl + E? If you are using the switch on the panel you must
close the fuel switches which are below the throttle levers. When using the
keystrokes, this is done automatically. :0))

Maybe if you have switched the magnetos off on another aircraft and saved
it.... Meaning you are flattening the battery and losing the engine, maybe
same goes for fuel pumps. This is just theory

I have come across this problem with aircraft which were originally designed
for FS2002 - could your 737 be one of those? My only way around it to date
has been the same as Jimbo's, - and even if you forget to set the throttle
before loading the aircraft, - advancing it and then going Ctrl E gets
things going again.
