I am a newbie. I am able to track a flight with Google Earth. But I can't
seem to have both screens on at the same time. I have to toggle from one to
the other and when I toggle to Google Earth FS2004 goes into a "pause". Any
way I can have both on the screen, or at least not have FS2004 pause.
Thanks.

IF,
I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but Google Earth has an
undocumented "flight simulator" mode that you can put the program in, which
lets you "fly" through the Google Earth scenery just as if you were in an
airplane. Here is how: While running Google Earth, press Ctrl + G. Now move
the cursor with your mouse, and you should see it change from a hand icon to
an airplane icon. When the program is in flightsim mode, holding down the
left mouse button and moving the mouse up, or down controls the pitch axis
and moving the mouse left, or right controls the roll axis. Holding down the
right mouse button and pushing the mouse forward will increase your forward
speed. Holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse backwards
slows your forward speed, and will also eventually cause you to move
backwards.
To return the program to the default mode, press Ctrl + T.
I really love flying Google Earth in flightsim mode. It's not nearly as
easy as a regular flight simulator, and it does have its flaws in this mode,
but it still is very fun. Take care...

I find running Google Earth a real memory hog. I haven't run it alongside
FS but when using Autocad I would sometimes get jumping of the crosshairs.
Does it affect you fps in FS2004 if running together?

Ibby,
I don't run Google Earth and FS at the same time. I just run GE by
itself. I have never installed the little program that allows you to run GE
and FS together.
