Is there something wrong with the private pilot checkride in FS2002? I
have been following all the lessons up until this point and I cannot
pass it. The instructor mentions that he will give a warning once or
twice if you are doing something wrong, and then he will cancel the
flight. I keep getting to the same point (I seem to be following the
instructions to the tee) and I keep failing the checkride without any
warning. Is there some sort of glitch in FS2002 that causes this. I am
using an older computer but it works decently (300 Pentium II with 328
meg ram and 64 meg 3d video card, averaging 8 frames per second). I
just can't seem to pass the checklist and it is frustrating me. I
haven't gone on to the other lessons yet. Also, I have been reading the
materials as I go along with the lessons.
Can't wait for FSX! It would be so helpful to go multiplayer with a
copilot who can instruct me as I am flying and guide me along while
seeing the same view/instrument panel.
Steven
BTW -- It seems to fail me just as I am following one of the
instructions to turn back from a certain heading, so it is not as if I
completely messed up an approach or overshot something. I recall
hearing from someone that there may be something wrong with the
program. It would be a relief to know. >> Stay informed about: FS2002 Checkride |

I seem to recall something about looking for traffic before making turns,
did you press 4 an 6 on the number pad to look for traffic before making the
turn?
