So, the question is: what is the "hot" first-person shooter game we should be expecting in 2008 ? The Portal was very good, but I doubt that they would be able to come up with Portal 2 within a year (i.e., in 2008). Besides, the concept is already known (through Portal), so that Portal 2 will hardly be a revelation.
