That is a knock of the 360. But anyone remember the NES, SNES,
Genesis, etc? They had a BUNCH of 2D shooters on them. A lot
involving a single character with a gun. The way I see it, the
abundance of FPS's are the same thing, just done with a different
camera angle.

Now, this isn't to say a wider variety of games shouldn't be done, but
that LOTS of retro games in the past involved running around and
shooting things, the same as a FPS.

Please comment and correct me if need be here.

My problem with 3D of any kind is that due to the control, the games
just aren't really that fun. The EXCEPTION to this rule would be 3-D
fighers... Fighters actually IMPROVED with 3-D, unlike every other
genre.

The Expo is what used to be the Philly Classic, right? If I hadn't
gone to one or knew about it, I might not of known, and assumed you
were one of these Johnny come lately Playstationers who don't know how
good they have it (ok, some soul is missing, but one can get retro if
they want to, or retro evolved in the form of Geometry Wars Smile).

Things are so good now, one can complain about the PS3 costing too
much, or not being all that much better than the 360, making the price
absurd, or get excited about the Wii, which won't have much better
graphics than today. Or, shoot, get pumped about the New Super Mario
Bros. because Mario grows as tall as the entire screen.

Ok, maybe there are too many FPS's, but there is enough other stuff to
play.

Remembering Satan Hollow's post that the 2600 is all we needed in a
gaming platform
Smile.

The "East Coast Gaming Expo" is Chuck Whitby's "cash cow". But hey if
he can do what he loves and get rich off it at the same time, more
power to him...

I agree. I would like to see some deep strat games on the 360 besides just
shooters and sports games.
