I am going to join my first FNM this coming week...

any tips?

Its going to be a three pack booster draft.
(I've never played draft hmmm...)

My opinion....

Removal, Flyers and Pingers, are always good.

Defenders can be very handy for early game too.

I'll tell you one thing I found. Assume we're discussing Ravnica draft here.
Draft means Limited, and Limited is primarily based around killing with
creatures. White/Green is great for getting lots of creatures on the board
(mostly because of the Green side, with White helping a little), but because
there's so much of both, you'll find a lot of people playing those. Removal,
however, doesn't come up much in either. If you decide to run white and
green, I'd suggest you'd be better served running white OR green as one of
your colours, play another (red or black, usually) for the removal (although
with the right cards, blue can fill this role as well), and splashing for
the other. Oh yeah - Dredge is really good, as long as you don't overdo it.
Continuously Dredging Shambling Shell, for example, can be worth it if you
have control of the board.
