FIFA 2006: How to score with a goalie?

I don't have the game to check but can you designate the goalie as
penalty taker and score that way? Alternatively, in real soccer the
goalie comes up for extra-time corners and the like when the situation
is desperate. I would guess that heading in a corner is the 'legit'
way
to do it. Lastly, you could happen across a weak goalie who stays too
far out of his box and then possibly chip him with yours??

Thanks for the reply.
I can't designate the goalkeeper as penalty taker, unfortunately. Only
in the final shootouts but that doesn't count to match facts.

I'm still desperate for a solution. I guess it has to be the lucky way.

if you're still trying...here's what worked for me: i took a 5-star
team (liverpool) and played the only 1-star team i could find (gefle if
- swedish). when i took my run w/the keeper, i only passed using the
one-two pass option (L1+x, x on ps2). this caused my keeper to keep
charging toward the goal after dumping it off. i also put 2 in for them
to give them a 2-0 lead...i think this may help take pressure off the
defense in your half, but i'm not 100% sure if that's the best thing to
do.

anyway, it worked for me. good luck

I did score with a goalie once in FIFA 2008....But it was no challenge and the mode too was Amateur...
