There were, or are, available patches to equal the "truth and
consequences" of the U.S. versions, at least for the U.K. edition.
If political correctness extended to the German version then a 'child
patch' may be available 'auf Deutsch'.

With the 'child patch' one could willfully or accidentally kill kids.
This affects your status, karma, NPC reactins change, and can trigger an
encounter with bounty hunters. These were better armed then my clueless
characters that might have hit/killed one of the Den kids when taking
out the slavers.

'Friendly fire' was one of the reality twists that have helped make the
FO's 'SPECIAL'. During the discussion of changes for a FO3 on the long
gone Interplay forums, I recall a group of Baulders Gate types, those
with wizard and fairy pics in their sig's, that were out to snuff
'friendly fire'. Motivation? Maybe.... They really didn't want to play
FO but to replay Baulder's Gate. Maybe they were real time too. Wanted
to burn clips on auto in the middle of a town and not learn the 'truth'
of trajectories or the 'consequences' of killing innocent bystanders. A
run and gun fantasy is fine, even the ones catering to those who must
have fairies and orcs to 'people' their world view, but that wasn't what
the FO's were about.

German to English?

Can try starting at NMA. Not sure if DAC has ready links to patches,
but they've started a wikopedea on FO info.

Can't recall if these sites have German forums.

With all the Polish, East European mod activity, these forums may have
language translation info available. May be able to ask in the general
mod areas of NMA and DAC which are in English.
