While escorting Cherry from Dukov's place to Rivet City, I got some
stuff from mutants on the way, and after saying goodbye to Cherry, I
sold some of it to Crazy Wolfgang at the bottom of the stairs to the
bridge.
Then I immediately fast-travelled to the Moonbeam Outdoor Cinema,
because my next stop was Arefu, killed one mutant, but the one
standing next to him had a huge missile launcher, so I ran like the
wind towards the bottom of the overpass, with missiles whistling past
my ears and exploding in front of me.
Pretty soon two more Raiders and a mole-rat joined in the chase and I
thought "I'm going to die today!" Thankfully, at the bottom of the
overpass to Arefu I spied a trade caravan! They're great, when you're
hopelessly outnumbered because they fire at your enemies.
If they win, you can loot the corpses of your enemies, and if they
don't win, they damage your enemies so you can finish them off and you
can loot the corpse of the trader. It's a win-win situation!
As it turned out, I outran the mutant with the missile launcher, and
the trader killed the raiders and the molerat. Now here's the point of
the story -- the trader who did the killing was none other than Crazy
Wolfgang, who I had just left behind at the bridge to Rivet City! Wtf?
As we began our conversation, he mentioned that he had "random jump"!
Has anyone else witnessed a "random jump" by one of the traders?
That's a clever little bit of programming, isn't it!
