Hello,
I have this problem and I hope someone can help me to solve it.
In FS2002 (and FS2004), the battery life of my Cessna is fairly short.
In cold and dark condition, it can be drained quickly and FS will report
an electrical failure.
Is there a file within FS2002 that I can easily modify to give me a much
prolonged battery life? (like changing a certain default number in a
certain .cfg file??)
Any ideas? Thanks.

If you have the registered version (paid for) of FSUIPC there is a facility
under, I think, the Technical tab to change a figure that extends the
battery life in all your aircraft.

Thank you Iain Smith.
I do have a paid-for version of FSUIPC installed within FS2004 but I do
not recall it has this option. Thanks for this tip and I will examine
this further.
In the meantime, any idea of how to override the default short battery
time in FS2002 ? Any input is welcome.

In some of my aircraft, I go to the aircraft configuration file and
modification under the electrical section:
max_battery_voltage=0 >> Stay informed about: Extending plane battery life in FS2002/FS2004 |

But you have to do that on all your aircraft whereas with FSUIPC one setting
does all.

Guess the aircraft in 2002 don't come with alternators or even wind
driven generators? Why default to faulty electrics?
