Well, if it lives up to its hype, you're probably best served with a
rapier as a weapon and elven chain armor. But that's just my opinion.

Good opinion, but magic items should be on the armor/rapier list. Also
a
magic dagger as a back-up weapon should be considered, and a master-
work crossbow to take advantage of high dexterity, at least!

Get some dwarf bane weapons so you can kill the short extortionists easier.

Are short extortionists a general part of rogue armor/weapon choices?

My advice was based on using the elf/rogue combo efficiently and had
nothing to do with that adventure. Bill's post reveals something about
one of the challenges the PCs will face.
