Archived from groups: alt>games>the-sims (more info?)

Hi all,

I have question: I have Sims 2 with Nightlife installed. Although I
wasn't initially interested, I decided to get University. Is it Okay
to install University after Nightlife? I would hate to have to
reinstall as my disks are packed away.

If it is Okay, what is the patch situation? Did the Nightlife patches
include everything the University patch contains? Would I have to
reinstall the Nightlife patch after installing University?

Also what exactly do I need to backup before installing the new
expansion pack? Sorry for all the questions, thanks.

Scott

Yeah, each EP gets installed into a separate folder this time, so you can
install them in any order...

I'm not sure about this. I think you might need to use the Uni patch (that's
the case with later EPs, anyway, like if have Family Fun Stuff, you also
have to install the OFB patch). I don't think you need to re-install the NL
patch because shouldn't affect the NL installation.

Pretty much just the families/neighborhoods.
