I levelled up my 1st character on enchanting and tailoring because
they were things I wanted to do. I don't think I've made much money
at all with either and overall certainly it's been a loss. I've never
had the patience to sit around town and advertise enchants or much
less have so much mats available I could sell the entire enchant. I
will pickup the odd enchanting job if I see someone WTB an enchant,
often for just a tip (they're supplying the mats of course). At the
same time I *enjoy* the fruits of these professions. I enjoyed giving
away freebie enchants to level up and the high-end ones are very
helpful to my growing stable of characters. The only thing about
enchanting that I dislike is the fact that the final trainer is
located deep within Uldaman, off the beaten path for most groups. It
is a royal pain getting to her and to this day I think my hatred of
Uldaman stems largely from the enchanting trainer experience.

The trainer in Uldaman isn't that bad to get to as long as you go via the
back door - soloable for certain classes at 60 but not all. Certainly in a
group at Uldaman level you can be in and out fast - going through the front
door is much longer.
