Well, about the only thing going on lately is that I have found the Dreamcast
is useful for about anything I want, and I don't find it used for it's own
games that much at the moment. I seem to go through those times when a game
system is not so much collected but becomes an accessory. Like on down times
with the Atari Jaguar it turns into a CD player with graphics.
The dreamcast becomes a terminal for getting on BBS's and IRC chat, and when i
need to emulate an Atari 5200, it does that flawlessly.
We have an Atari 5200 gaming contest on Atariage.com and many of us just found
that it was easier to get a Dreamcast and emulate than buy a 5200, get better
controllers (which I now have), and the 128 game multicart for like $150 (which
I don't have, not sure I ever will).
Plying on the Dreamcast with a lot of the emulators is so good, i forget I'm
playing on a Dreamcast. And to me, I was thinking tonight, that says a lot
about something when it just do things without problems.
