Greetings all,

So My Warlock now is an Alchemist.. Got the quest for Elixit mastery
or something like that... The elixirs are easy and of course I need to
do Black Morass for 10 shards or something... So I joined a PUG and
started the instance...

It was a very successful run as no adds touched the shield as a mage
was taking real care of the adds and I pick some adds he miss... Only
one death for the mage because of a lag spike... And I made sure to
try and loot all mobs that spawned and died... The problem is that
when it came to an end I had only 7 instead of 10... Am I missing
something.. becuase I made sure to loot any corpse I am capable of
looting since my main reason to join this instance (my favorite so
far) is to do the Alchemy quest.

Did I miss some mobs?... Or does it actually require a second run?

Unless you are insanely lucky, it will take more than one run.

Yes. It took me about 3 runs. Only got 3-4 shards per run. Very damned
annoying quest. The potion mastery one is a totally ridiculously easy
breeze, by comparison. All you need to do is kill the second boss in
Botanica, once. Cake.

And the transmute mastery one costs 4 primal mights.

It took me 4 runs, 'cos the first time I'd never been there before and
as a healer I was always targetting friendlies, so when we had
finished the instance I said "Now can you guys help me find these Rift
thingies? I need them for alchemy", and they all stood and stared at
me and one said "er, we killed them all, they've disappeared now!"
D'oh!

On the second run, we wiped because I spent a few seconds looting a
shard, so I stopped picking them up. On the next two runs, I made sure
we had an off-healer to take up the slack while I looted shards.

If you've got a group to get in and beat the second boss in Bot, it's
definitely the way to go. 150g is the respec (actually, "unlearning")
cost once you've specialized. You need to unlearn from the Potion
Mastery questgiver (in Cen Ex, iirc). Then, go to the quest giver for
the spec you want, instant training. No quest, no cost.

Yep. I've heard it suggested that if you want another mastery, you should
do the potions master quest, and then pay to change specs. Apparently (I
haven't looked into it), the respec cost is FAR less than the materials
needed for the other two specializations. *
