Wow! And I thought I could spot these. Usually I would get a random
question or demand about an item I never sold...like a dispute for a car
part or something. The page looks like an EBay Answer a Question page, but
the item in question is something you never had. BUT, yesterday, I got a
question about the Big Hit Pinball machine am currently running. They
asked if I could deliver it to New Jersey--and when I clicked to respond, it
took me right to the sign in pagem, which I did. After I answered the
question, and clicked to send, it took me to a "Try Again Later" Ebay page.
I tried again, and same thing. THEN, when I looked at the address in my
brower window, I realized I just gave my password to someone else. I
quickly changed my password of course, but the only reason I suspected a
problem was when I got that real EBay error message. I told my secretary
what happened (her husband sells model planes on EBay) and this morning, her
husband got a "question" that looked legit about an item they were running!!
Lesson Learned---before typing your password from now on, ALWAYS check your
browser window even if you THINK its legit. Todd from TNT Amusements

That's why I never click on the link in emails etc, I always log into eBay
etc via my browser bookmark.

Agreed. If you just go to www.ebay.com and click LOG IN, you know you won't
run the risk of entering your ebay password on a page designed by a hacker.
