Ex-Resident Executed
Gaullish spy Mercedez Dantez, briefly a resident of the Mercenary’s Guild,
was executed last week in Londinium. The lady is reported to have refused
a blindfold,and looked resolutely to the North as the Hangman did his
duty.
Demon Rumours
Though few details have yet become clear, rumours have been spreading
through the city in the last week of a demonic figure around Durholme.
Described variously as tall, garbed in black and carrying a staff, a
number of sightings have been reported. However, It has not yet become
clear whether there is any substance behind the rumours, or whether they
are simply another Durholme legend.
Ishmundi Revival
Brother Serin, new head of the Church of Ishmund, described his
predecessor Deltus as a “pansy” this week, and announced that the church
planned a more proactive rile. “If you know of any injustice, tell us, at
our church or at our training centre in the former Temple of Mallan.”
Gentlemen Adventurers
New arrival Sir Jasper Dashwood announced this week the advent in Durholme
of the ‘Fellowship of Gentleman Adventurers’; and said he was seeking
those with the ‘courage, honour and nobility’ to become a Gentleman
Adventurer.
Newcroft Conflict?
Ill-will between Durholme and Newcroft appears to be growing, with
self-styled “Ambassador to Newcroft” Del saying the residents of that city
are “Almost all Sordanites”; while Mercenaries’ Guild head Aramar reported
that the inhabitants of Newcroft considered Durholme “cursed”.
Durholme Gambling?
The opening of Durholme’s first casino was announced this week. The
proprietors intend to use the former temple of Humact (recently bought by
‘Babel’ of the Mercenaries) to offer various gambling and gaming
facilities.
