Damn I got my wife and a few friends trying to hook up for the
Stocfades and sometimes it is such a pain finding the time to actually
do it. Don't want to go in the Stocks at level 40 cuz some of these new
players need the full experience of what has to be done in places liek
that.
And then there's
Blackfathom
Gnomeragon
Razerfen
Scarlet Monastary
Oh vey!!
I want ot give them full tour.
Let's go kick some but!!
OH! OH! OH!

Stockades and Deadmines are very easy to find a group for and they are
easy enough for it not to matter if your PUG actually does not know
anything about the group roles. Mind you, I haven't experienced the new
group system yet but BFD and SFK are my two favorite instances that I
have done and it is very hard to find a group for them when you are
alliance (unless you go access your friendslist and beg)
Gnomer is a PITA with a PUG in my limited experience (only finished it
once when my friend and I got acquainted with a very skilled rogue that
used tricks I had never seen a rogue use before but even then it didn't
take us long to wipe a few times because of two randoms)

I never found the Deadmines to be an easy instance even knowing them
quite well. If you do them the first time, the pats spawned are very
nasty. At the ship you have to careful about your pulls and most VC
fights I saw ended up with at least two members dead. I always found
the Monastery, the Stockades and most of Zul Farak much easier. >> Stay informed about: So Many Dungeons So Little Time |

See?
Now this would not be happening if you were to transfer that lil ol
mage of yours over to Llane and join our guild.
I'm sure we'll be ready for SM in about 3-4 weeks.
Of course if you are in a hurry my warrior who turns 60 next week could
always run you to the book as an introductory "hello how do you do"
present.

Yeah and they know how to run away and bring back friends.

Just a long walk to get there.
Or in my case it was a long swim.
Hey I noticed from Chillwind in WPL, one can head onto the road to the
bridge without getting attacked. Is it then possible to swim in the
river and get around all the inhabited areas and up into Trisfal
Glades?
I'm gonna have to have my warrior up in WPL check it out.
My wife is so not gonna go for the long journey across Alterac and the
Southern Glades.

I'm not a big fan of the instances, mostly because I hate getting a
group together. A lot of bad experiences so far. But I need to get a
book from the monastery for a mage quest (imagine my dismay when I saw
that nice little "(Dungeon)" lable next to the quest!). Is it
particularly hard to solo? I'm 36 right now. I figure if I can take on

That kind of sucks. It seems like Blizzard id forcing people to do
instances. It's already bad that the only interesting stuff is in the
dungeon; elsewhere it's just mobs in the wilderness vs mobs in
caves vs mobs in ruined towers, none with secret rooms or scripts.
Then there are class quests in dungeons, and normal quest lines
that turn into dungeon quests. This all just strikes me too much
as a "we'll force them to group, whether they want to or not"
patronistism.

There's a low level dungeon for me in Orgrimmar that almost seems
doable if I got higher level. Things in it start at level 11; except
thatthey're all elite, and from a peek, they seem lined up (not
sure if they'll call for help). Maybe I'll wait until it turns grey.
If I did want to group (say I drank a bit too much), how long do you
end up waiting for a group at a meeting stone?

you get 5 you go to the instance.

Then you will be in for a little surprise with your mage, as almost all
your class quests will lead you into an instance. After SM you will be
heading for Uldaman for your next quest and Zul'Farrak after that. Then
it's Temple Time and so on.

At 36 it's pretty much impossible to solo. My mage was farming the
graveyard with 46 solo but died when trying to do the library. No way
you can pull only one mob there and sheep the other, as they are always
standing around in groups and run when low on health. Try to get a group! >> Stay informed about: So Many Dungeons So Little Time |

I have that quest for my shammy, If it is the "Test of lore", or something
like that.It is in the SM. If it is, The Lib. is before the instance. It
Can be done solo. took a long time, slow going. I would pick them off 1 at a
time I drew them in w/ my lighting had pleanty of silk bandages and had my
Alt make some Manna and healing potions, also an elixir of defence.YOu
need to fight the MOBs leading up to the SM. I had a quest for it so i did
both at 1 time. >> Stay informed about: So Many Dungeons So Little Time |

At 36, entirely impossible to solo. Well, MAYBE a rogue or druid could
stealth to the book, but if I remember right it's guarded. Get a group -
scarlet monastery is the easiest instance by far to get groups together

Yep, this is how I usually go to SM, it's a LOT less annoying than walking
from Southshore. There are a few places where you might get jumped by
nasties (stay OUT of Andorhal), but so long as you mostly stay by the road,
you can get from chillwind to Tirisfal without dying at 35 or so. *
