My reply is rather late, but I hope you can see it... because it looks
like Three-Dragon Ante is the perfect game for your players.

I once had a character in a 3.0 game playing a fighter specialized in ranged
attacks. He could hit basically anything, and with the broken rules I was
using at the time about called shots, had lots of fun specifically targeting
people's eyes. It was still a difficult shot (I think a +16 to the AC for
attempting to hit a tiny object), but doable. The party had just hid as a
red dragon flew over their heads. It had failed to notice them, but the
player, anxious to show his prowess, and a little touched in the head,
decided he would do a called shot for the dragon's rear "hole" as he flew
away. Needless to say the entire party cracked up when he scored a hole in
one with his arrow. That was, until the dragon turned around and very
irately incinerated the party.
They were never supposed to try and fight the thing. Just some
foreshadowing to let them know what was ahead.
In another campaign two of the PC's created their characters seperately and
then declared as the game started that they were brothers. This was a
physical impossibility since the one was a full blooded elf druid, and the
other a half orc barbarian. Regardless of this fact, they wanted to play as
brothers, but rather than one of them change their race, they decided that
they would be cursed by a wizard to believe they were brothers. They were
inseperable, and threatened anyone who brought up the question of paternity. >> Stay informed about: Dumb things players like to do |

LOL. I remeber way back in 1st Ed. a weapon like that. It was a magical
arrow that if it hit the target, flew right "there" and would have to be
dislodged before the monster could fight anymore. Talk about a "sneak
attack Eh?

We've got a character in a long-running PBEM who is an elf druid who claims
that he was a dryad's tree who was reincarnated into an elf after his dryad
was killed. He's frigging nuts.

Hey, speaking of the old chargen, does anyone know if it's still
possible to get the patch for it?
Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; I've never reinstalled after my last
computer meltdown since I couldn't find the patch, but I've still got
the old disk somewhere . . . >> Stay informed about: Dumb things players like to do |
