Excellent! I stumbled upon version 0.56 of FastMame and so I
downloaded it. I took it home and fired up Double Dragon. It's running
at full speed on a freaking 400 mhz pentium II (LOL). And the best part
is I don't have to drastically reduce the CPU overclock settings or set
the frameskip all the way up to 11. Goes fine at 9. Talk about a day
long in coming; I had just about given up hope...

This version of mame is indeed fast. Not only can it play double
dragon, but it plays a bunch of other side-scrollers that were off
limits (TMNT, Golden Axe, Growl, Rolling Thunder, etc.) Terrific!
The only problem with Fastmame is it doesn't remember the controller
setup for each game. Every time I run it, I have to set up the controls
again. Is there any way to circumvent this?

Dos-man, could you send me a link to FastMame 0.56? I am trying to give
it a go but the only versions I could find were 0.71b and 0.64b
(fastNeoMame).
Thanks so much!

Fastmame -cc to create a fastmame.ini then set up the joystick under

I just tried fastmame. You need to make your own cfg folder, then it
will save the .cfg files after that.
If you run into any trouble "delete default.cfg" >> Stay informed about: Double Dragon: running at full speed with Fastmame v 0.56 |

let anything stand in my way Still, I thank you all for your help.
